F8 E1, LF, and Lo FL indicate filling problems on compatible Maytag washers. Check the water supply and installation before trying to reset it.
Start with the water supply, not the control panel
The manufacturer documentation for Maytag groups together low-flow or slow-fill alerts. First check whether there is a water outage and whether the faucets were left closed after installing or moving the machine. On dual-supply units, open both when the manual requires it, even if you selected cold wash.
Check the visible section of each hose. If it is pinched, reroute it without stretching the fittings. Inlet screens are cleaned only through authorized access, with the water turned off and the appliance prepared; see how to check those screens.
Water enters but does not stay in
If you hear filling but the unit keeps waiting, note whether water is also draining out at the same time. Compare the installation with the model diagram: a drain hose positioned incorrectly can prevent the tub from holding the required level.
During a fill safeguard, the control may drain and not respond temporarily. Follow that wait time and the panel cancel procedure. If it fails again with the supply and installation correct, request service; repeatedly restarting does not distinguish a restriction from an internal fault.
Keep this in mind if both supplies fail or if the problem depends on the selected temperature.
