E23/E23.1 and E24 on the ASKO WM76S indicate unlocking problems. Before retrieving laundry, check cycle completion, water, and drum stop.
Door held after the program
The manufacturer documentation distinguishes these warnings from initial lock faults. Note the decimal and check whether a function was left on that keeps the laundry in water or a phase still pending completion. A normal safety delay by itself does not count as an error.
Resetting and opening the model
The manual recommends turning the machine off and back on again for the release fault. If it comes back, refer to support. Manual retrieval of laundry should follow the WM76S emergency opening section, with the power disconnected, water drained, and safe conditions verified.
Do not insert a screwdriver near the latch by analogy with another appliance. If you cannot verify the water level, temperature, or exact opening point, stop the procedure. Door, lid, and safety lock explains the prerequisite conditions.
If the door opens but the warning returns in another cycle, request a diagnosis. Retrieving laundry does not prove that the unlocking system has been repaired.
Report whether the failure appeared at the end, during cancellation, or after a power loss.
