On the ASKO WM76S, E7 indicates a drain failure, and E7.1 warns of reduced flow during pumping. Keep the decimal and check the drain path.
What the difference means
The manufacturer documentation distinguishes between a fault and a warning. With E7, note whether water remains in the drum; with E7.1, record whether draining finishes but takes longer or whether the warning repeats. Neither one by itself confirms a failed pump.
Filter, hose, and outlet
Check the hose for kinks and the household drain. Compare the hose height with the installation manual. If there is a lot of foam, note the detergent dose, because that is also part of the E7 checks.
Before opening the filter, stop and disconnect the machine safely, let the water cool, and use the controlled drain procedure in the WM76S manual. Remove the filter only after the draining is complete, clean out any accessible debris, and close it again so it seals properly. Do not force the cap or open panels.
If the drain problem continues, seek service. The ASKO index distinguishes these warnings from E7.2 caused by detergent, so you do not repeat a drain cleaning when the condition is something else.
Report whether the message appears with water left in the machine or only as a warning during a drain cycle that completes.
