E9 and E9.1 Errors on ASKO: Water Leak Alert

E9 and E9.1 in the ASKO WM76S manual indicate leak detection in the washer area. Check the outside and stop using it if water keeps coming out.

Visible water and supply

The manufacturer documentation lets you distinguish between a leak and an alert that does not reappear after the recommended check. If there is a visible leak, close the accessible faucet and request service. Do not retry the manual reset while water is still escaping.

Check whether it appears near the inlet, outlet, drawer, door, or base. Note when it started and whether any connections were recently handled. Do not disassemble or tilt the appliance to remove water and clear the detection.

If the outside looks dry

Confirm the procedure for the model before continuing; not seeing a puddle does not by itself identify the cause. If the alert returns or you cannot verify safe conditions, contact service.

Use external leak location to record where the water is. E11 refers to excessive level and overflow, and E7 to drainage: do not give those codes the same meaning as E9/E9.1.

Drying the floor makes a repeat occurrence easier to see; it does not confirm that the leak has been fixed.
