IE, E02, and E10 correspond to insufficient fill in documented LG front-loaders. Water intake, unintended drainage, and level sensing require different checks.
LG groups these signals in its front-load documentation. The alert says the expected level was not reached; by itself, it does not identify the water inlet valve.
Follow the water path
- Check whether there is a supply outage and whether the washer’s shutoff valve is open. A faucet in the home with water does not guarantee that the machine’s specific valve is open.
- See whether the inlet hose was pinched after moving the appliance. Do not disconnect a fitting with the valve open.
- Consult the inlet filter section of the manual. If it allows you to clean them, turn off the water and disconnect power before removing the indicated connection.
- If water comes in but seems to disappear, check the inlet and drain installation: an arrangement that encourages siphoning can prevent the level from being reached.
If water remains in the drum and the reading is still abnormal, do not add water by hand to fool the sensor. PE refers to the level reading and requires its own interpretation if that is the code shown.
