TwinDos maintenance cleans the dispensing lines using a built-in function on the washer. Find the specific compartment requested and the approved consumable: cleaning the drum does not necessarily clean that circuit.
What the maintenance alert means
Miele explains that TwinDos inactivity can leave dried detergent in the tubes and that its maintenance program cleans those lines. The alert may refer to a specific compartment; do not assume both need to be treated the same way.
Prepare the procedure for your household
- Identify the model and check the TwinDos section of the manual. Confirm whether the indication refers to compartment 1, 2, or both.
- Confirm which cleaning cartridge or container the machine accepts. Do not improvise a refill or infer the contents based on a chemical equivalent.
- Prepare the machine and place the container as its instructions indicate. Check the seating before starting.
- Find TwinDos maintenance in the corresponding menu, select the indicated line, and follow the sequence shown on the screen.
- Let the process finish and complete the instructions for removing and reinstalling the laundry product.
Menu names and control layouts vary by model family. If your screen does not match, look up the model manual instead of trying a button combination taken from another washer.
After maintenance
Check that the process is marked as complete and that the regularly used container is installed correctly. If it could not be started or completed, note the exact message and where it stopped before contacting support.
Do not repeat it indefinitely or try to clear blockages in the tubes with pressure or solvents. To distinguish this task from cleaning a removable container, see automatic dosing maintenance.
If you are going to stop using TwinDos for a while, review the machine's storage instructions and schedule maintenance of its lines before shutdown when the manual indicates it.
