Ub / UE / U6 and Ur alerts on Samsung washing machines: imbalance and spin retry

Ub, UE, and U6 indicate an imbalance that can prevent Samsung from completing the cycle. Ur means the machine is trying to rebalance the load again.

The distinction comes from the Samsung USA chart. Ur may lengthen the program without, by itself, indicating a fault.

Wait for the retry or correct the stalled load

If Ur appears and the machine keeps recovering, follow the intended sequence. Do not open it or cancel it every time just because the time keeps increasing.

If it stops with Ub, UE, or U6, pause and wait until the drum and lock allow you to intervene. Untangle and redistribute any clothes that have clumped together. Check whether there is a very absorbent item among lightweight clothes or a load that exceeds the program capacity; the solution is not to add or remove clothes without considering their makeup.

Check the washer’s support when it is stopped. If it rocks or the problem started after a move, the installation also needs to be checked. Do not increase the spin speed to overcome the protection.

dC must be interpreted by model before including it in this family. Repetition with suitable loads and stable support requires assistance.

Note whether the machine managed to recover the spin cycle or ended up aborting it: this distinguishes an informational retry from a persistent issue.
