Error 4C2 / 4E2 / nF1 in Samsung washing machines: cold inlet too hot

4C2, 4E2, and nF1 are related to water that is too hot at the cold inlet on documented Samsung models. Check the identification of the inlets before investigating the internal heater.

The Samsung USA table links this family to swapped hot/cold connections. CE and 14C2 also appear in that table, but they should not be extrapolated to every market.

Check the path of each connection

If the problem started after installing or moving the washer, look at the labels on its inlets and where the hoses go. Identify which supply line reaches the cold inlet; do not rely solely on the color of a hose that may have been replaced.

Correcting this requires stopping the appliance and shutting off the supplies. Do not loosen a fitting with hot water or pressure present. If you cannot identify the valves with certainty or the installation requires plumbing changes, ask the installer to do it.

This alarm is different from 4C for a fill failure and from a heater error. If the connections match the exact diagram and the warning persists, provide the reference and installation context to support.

Do not swap hoses by trial and error: first confirm which line is the cold supply and what the equipment manual requires.
