The first use should verify the installation by following the model-specific procedure. There is no one-size-fits-all empty cycle, detergent dose, or first-run temperature that works for every washing machine.
Before powering on
Confirm model and documentation, packaging removed, transport bolts resolved, and stable supports. Check the inlet, outlet, and cord for pinching. Connections must be compatible before running a test: completing a cycle does not validate an unknown electrical installation.
Follow the appropriate routine
The manual may specify an empty wash, removal of manufacturing residue, or an installation test. Use only the product, program, and preparation specified. If it includes an initial calibration, check its availability and order; the Samsung sequence applies only to compatible units.
External observations during the test
- Water inlet with no visible leaks at the connections.
- Drainage with no overflow, backflow, or shifting hose.
- Stable operation, with no violent knocks or movement.
- No electrical odor, smoke, or abnormal heating of connections.
- Completion and messages consistent with the procedure.
Stay in a safe position and do not remove panels to observe. If a leak or dangerous behavior appears, stop using it and shut off supplies from safe points; do not repeat the test to see whether it goes away.
If the test does not finish
Keep the message, stage, and observations, and review the pending condition with support or the installer. The installation must be resolved before the first load of laundry is added.
Record the test result and any adjustment made; that starting point makes it easier to interpret later changes.
