Connect a washing machine to Wi-Fi and troubleshoot pairing issues

The connection requires an official app and a network compatible with the model. An offline status may be due to the network, account, or service and does not by itself prove a fault in the washing machine's module.

Prepare the appliance setup

  1. Identify the model and verify that it includes the connected feature.
  2. Install the official app for your market and create or use your account.
  3. Check the network requirements, permissions, and app version in the documentation.
  4. Activate pairing mode using the panel sequence.
  5. Follow the setup and confirm that the appliance appears in the correct account.

For example, Samsung documents setup in SmartThings through QR, nearby search, or selecting the device. Those paths belong to its platform; they do not establish universal buttons or network bands.

Find where it fails

Observed status and useful check
SituationWhat to check
Does not appear when addingCompatible model, setup mode, and required permissions
Fails when joining the networkCredentials entered locally, supported network, and signal
Worked before and now appears offlineRouter, changed password, power supply, and service status
Connects but does not start remotelyRemote control permission or activation and appliance conditions

Do not post passwords or send them to unofficial services. A router change may require reconfiguring the network; it does not mean you should indiscriminately reset all settings.

Account, updates, and sharing

Use official updates and shared users provided for in the app. Check which local washing function remains available without internet. If ownership changes, unlink accounts using the indicated procedure. Attribute the fault to the module only after ruling out external conditions and obtaining an appropriate assessment.

Note the exact step where the connection fails; that makes diagnosis much easier than simply saying the Wi-Fi does not work.
