Choose an extraction level that the garment and the program can handle. A higher speed can remove more water, but resistance to wrinkling and distortion depends on construction; there is no single revolutions chart that works for every fiber.
Understanding the options before changing the speed
| Option | Usage decision |
|---|---|
| Spin only | Remove water from a load that is already washed or rinsed, if the model offers that function. |
| No spin | Avoid the extraction spin; confirm whether the program still ends by draining the water. |
| Rinse hold | The load may remain in water until you order the finish specified by the manual. |
Do not confuse a selected hold with a drainage failure. Before removing clothes, complete the authorized sequence and wait for the normal door release.
Choosing the intensity for the actual load
Check the care label and cycle restrictions. For knitwear, padding, or delicate finishes, the full construction matters, not just the fiber. If excessive wrinkling appears, also check how full the load is and how long the clothes wait when the cycle ends.
To spin separately, check the load distribution and select the permitted limit. The maximum number on the panel does not guarantee the machine will reach it: load distribution and cycle conditions can limit it. Do not repeat attempts with an unsupported item or add makeshift weights.
When clothes remain soaking wet despite the correct setting or the drum does not turn, continue with spin diagnosis.
