Use pause for a temporary interruption and cancel to end or change the cycle, according to the manual. Add garments only when the available function allows it and the appliance authorizes the door to open.
Choose the appropriate interruption
A pause does not drain the water or cool the contents immediately. The door may remain locked because of the water level, temperature, or movement. Not all options can be changed once a phase has started either: check which changes are allowed during pause and which require canceling.
- Activate the pause or add-clothes control described in the manual.
- Wait for the motion to stop and for the opening authorization to appear. Do not keep pulling on the door.
- Check that the added item fits within the limit and meets the load requirements.
- Close it properly and resume using the appliance procedure.
Cancel without starting another dose blindly
When you cancel, the appliance may drain water or require another selection. Observe which phase had been completed and whether detergent has already been added. Do not add a full dose again just because you are going to start another program: product may remain in the clothes, or automatic dosing may still take effect.
If you do not know how much product remains, consult the manufacturer’s reset and rinse procedure. Avoid opening filters or using a mechanical release for a routine program change.
If the normal procedure does not release the door, follow the locked-door check. Do not try to defeat the lock or remove clothes while mechanisms are moving.
