E7 Error on LG SideKick: Pedestal Installation

E7 on LG SideKick points to the stacking switch or pedestal installation under a compatible washer. It is not an instruction to manipulate the safety switch.

The official SideKick documentation places E7 in the installation of the assembly. This interpretation applies to the washer pedestal, not to an E7 on any LG product.

Check which units make up the assembly

Locate the SideKick model number and the upper washer’s model number. Compare compatibility and assembly details in the installation instructions. Matching width or brand does not prove that a combination is approved.

Look from the outside to see whether the units are aligned and whether the problem appeared after a move or installation. Do not lift an already installed column, press the switch by hand, or bypass it to start the pedestal.

If a compatible unit is missing, there is visible shifting, or the assembly does not match the instructions, ask the installer to correct the installation. If the assembly is installed correctly and E7 returns, the detection mechanism needs technical inspection.

Provide both model numbers and an exterior view of the installation when requesting support; the pedestal model number alone may not be enough.
