The remaining time can change while the washer adjusts the cycle. You need to investigate when it repeats operations and cannot complete the wash properly, without setting a universal duration.
Which phase is it repeating
Notice whether it goes back to rinse, tries to speed up several times, or keeps washing with the same display. The repetition matters more than seeing a time that does not change.
- Acceleration retries: check spin and balance.
- Wash that does not get past a heating phase: what matters is the heating element when the design uses one.
- Alternating water or inconsistent water level: you may need to check the level sensing system.
Compare conditions, not just minutes
Record the program, options, load, and detergent. An Eco program or a control that adapts the cycle using sensors may have a different duration than expected. That does not mean any repetition should be treated as normal.
If the behavior started after changing the dose, load, or water supply, keep that information. Do not try to force it to advance by turning a selector or entering technical menus.
When the operation does not complete
The control may be waiting for a signal for water, temperature, or speed. A board diagnosis should check those conditions before replacing it. A variable countdown does not identify a broken timer.
Stop retrying if there are knocks, leaks, smell, or heating; persistent repetition is resolved by finding the pending condition.
