If the panel has power but ignores commands, check the control lock and program status before suspecting a button or the interface. A selector that registers a different position calls for a different assessment.
Check which commands are available
The child lock can disable some controls. Some options cannot be changed after starting or are not compatible with the program. Check the manual and keep the symbol that appears.
With the machine stopped, check for surface moisture or dirt. Clean only as authorized by the manufacturer; do not spray product onto buttons or open the panel to dry it.
Describe the lack of response
- One specific button does not work, while others do.
- The selector shows a different position or changes irregularly.
- The display freezes and no normal command is registered.
- The indicators disappear completely.
The last case falls under power failure. The others may require distinguishing between the button, selector, connection, and interface.
When restarting makes sense
If there are no warning signs and the manual allows it, perform the approved reset after recording the status. Do not enter service mode with a sequence found for another model.
If it happens again, request electronic diagnostics while keeping track of which commands worked. Hitting or forcing the control does not confirm the component.
A response restored after a restart does not prove that an intermittent button or connection has been repaired.
