Stacking requires an approved combination of appliances and a kit. Matching width or the same brand does not prove that the surfaces, loads, and fasteners are compatible.
Combination documentation
Gather the full model numbers for both appliances and the reference for the intended kit. Check the placement of each unit, support surfaces, manufacturer restrictions, and installation procedure. A factory-bonded set follows its own documentation, even if it visually looks like a column of separate units.
The dryer is usually placed on top in intended home combinations, but the exact arrangement must be approved. Do not reverse the appliances or use a generic stand to create an undocumented combination.
Evaluate the entire installed volume
- Floor capable of supporting the set and its operation.
- Height and openings for doors, drawers, and controls.
- Ventilation and connections for the corresponding drying system.
- Access to locks, disconnections, and maintenance.
- Ability to remove it for repairs without getting trapped by furniture.
Installation and checking
Lifting and securing require equipment and assistance appropriate for the weight and the procedure. Do not lift the upper unit alone or fasten it with improvised straps or adhesive. The kit must be fully assembled according to the instructions, without replacing parts with others that only look similar.
If you also plan to use a pedestal, verify that exact configuration; raising a stack changes its stability and access conditions.
The unit to verify is the complete set: both appliances, kit, support, and connections.
