Delayed start postpones the beginning; delayed end aims to finish later. Check whether the display shows a clock time or a number of hours from now before programming the load.
Translate the setting into a specific time
If it is 6:00 p.m. and you select start in three hours, the wash would begin around 9:00 p.m.; you still need to add the program duration. If you choose end in three hours, the appliance calculates when to start in order to try to finish around 9:00 p.m. These examples explain the logic, not the controls on a specific model.
Check the estimated time after selecting the program and options. The appliance may adjust the duration based on real conditions, so the expected end should not be treated as an exact appointment.
Prepare a load that can wait
- Make sure the garments and soil can wait, and avoid leaving contamination that needs immediate attention.
- Check the detergent and its method of dispensing for delayed start. Do not allow concentrated product to remain in contact with clothing for long periods.
- Review remembered settings and confirm that the delay was activated.
- Plan to remove and dry the load when it finishes.
Follow the supervision conditions in the manual. If you need to change the schedule after the cycle has already started, follow pause and cancel; do not force the door open just because the display shows waiting.
If the laundry finished and stayed inside longer than expected, decide how to remove it based on its condition after being left inside.
