Auto-dosing needs to know what product it contains and how concentrated it is. Filling the reservoir without checking its settings can cause an incorrect dose even if no warning appears.
Set up with the container on hand
- Identify which reservoir holds detergent and which holds fabric softener or a second product, if the model allows it.
- Check the approved formulation and consistency. Do not put pods, powder, or liquids not intended for one system into another format's circuit.
- Set the concentration or base dose following the exact method in the manual. A commercial label like concentrated does not always match a numeric scale on the appliance.
- Enter water hardness and soil level settings when the system asks for them, using actual data.
- Check the dosing indicator before the first wash and then observe the result afterward.
Switching to a manual dose
A special load, such as wool, may require a different detergent. If you use the manual compartment, disable the corresponding reservoir in the prescribed way and confirm its status. Do not assume that adding product manually automatically turns off the automatic system.
Changing products or resuming use
Check whether the reservoir and its circuit must be emptied or cleaned before switching products. Mixing leftover formulations or topping off thickened detergent does not fix an incorrect calibration. Cleaning instructions belong to system maintenance.
If clothes come out with residue, first check the actual product, the selected concentration, and any accidental extra dose. Adjust only within the appliance's procedure; do not invent multipliers to correct results.
Before a special load, confirm which reservoirs are still active. That check helps avoid accidentally combining automatic and manual product.
