If there is excessive foam, do not add detergent or anti-foam remedies. Check whether the machine is running a scheduled routine; if water is leaking বাইরে or there is an electrical hazard, prioritize a safe shutdown.
Contained foam and cycle in progress
Read the full message on the display. Some machines extend rinses or limit the spin cycle to manage foam. Whirlpool documents this behavior on its front-loaders; the alerts and instructions in its manuals should not be copied to another machine.
Let the recovery finish when the manual says to do so. If it asks for intervention, follow that sequence. Do not force the door, open the filter during the cycle, or add vinegar, oil, or improvised defoamer.
Overflow or water outside the appliance
If you can stop it from a dry control without exposing yourself to water, do so. Do not touch wet plugs or connections. When you cannot safely isolate the appliance, keep your distance and ask for help. If water is coming out through the dispenser, check water coming out of the detergent drawer, not just the detergent dose.
Reconstruct the dose
- Identify the product and concentration, including HE or low-foam compatibility.
- Add in any additive or pre-treatment applied to the laundry.
- Check whether auto-dosing remained active alongside a manual dose.
- Relate the amount used to the load and the instructions on the package.
When finished, check whether the laundry needs the compatible rinse specified by the manufacturer. To prevent it from happening again, correct the dosage identified, without arbitrarily reducing it to the point that the load is left unwashed.
Before the next wash, identify where the excessive or incompatible dose came from so you do not repeat the incident.
