F35 or Door release means the latch won’t release on compatible Miele models. It can affect the door or the drum on a top-loader; do not force it to remove clothes.
Distinguishing normal waiting and a release error
The manufacturer documentation identifies an inability to unlock. Check whether the cycle has finished, whether water is still inside, and whether the drum has come to a complete stop. Do not treat any brief delay in opening as F35 if the panel does not show it.
Permitted recovery and access to laundry
The support consulted says to disconnect from the mains for at least two minutes and then turn it back on. Do this only using a dry, accessible outlet and with the procedure confirmed for the model.
If the message continues, request assistance. To recover laundry, Miele refers to the emergency release in the appliance instructions: its location and mechanism vary. Before using it, its water, temperature, disconnection, and movement conditions must be met. If you cannot verify them, wait for the technician.
The guide to doors and locks explains those preliminary checks. Do not insert tools next to the latch by following the image from another washer.
Report whether F35 appeared at the end of the cycle, when canceling, or after a power outage.
