Miele F10 Error: Restricted Water Inlet

F10 on documented Miele models indicates a blocked or restricted water inlet. Check the tap, hose, and accessible inlet filter before requesting service.

If the fault started after the water was shut off

The manufacturer documentation suggests ending the program, opening the tap, and selecting the cycle again when that was the cause. Also check whether there is a household outage. An open tap by itself does not guarantee that enough flow is reaching the appliance.

Inlet hose and filter

Look for tight bends or pinching. If the hose is damaged, do not straighten it as a permanent fix. The manual states when it must be replaced and which connection it supports.

To clean a user-accessible inlet filter, first shut off the tap and prepare to disconnect it according to the model. Keep the gasket and screen and reinstall them after cleaning. Turn the water back on slowly and check that the connection is watertight. See water inlet screens to prepare for the task.

If the supply is weak, compare the conditions with the manual and consult the person responsible for the installation. If F10 returns with water available and the accessible path clear, request service. F11 belongs to drainage: do not open the pump filter just because F10 appears.

Note whether the problem began after a shutdown, move, or modification of the water connection.
