Door Locd and Door OPEn Alerts on Fisher & Paykel

door Locd indicates a locked door and door OPEn an open door on documented Fisher & Paykel front loaders. One is about regaining access; the other, getting the door closed so you can continue.

Both spellings appear in the WashSmart/QuickSmart manual. They are not aliases and they are not resolved with a single list of attempts on the handle.

Check whether there is still motion, water, or temperature that prevents opening. Wait for the conditions to clear and use the pause or add-garment function that your panel actually has. The manual does not offer the same functions on every model. Do not cut power expecting that to cool the water or release the door immediately.

If the machine is stopped and it can be opened safely, move aside any protruding clothing and check that the door reaches its position. Close it normally and restart using the intended controls. If it does not fit or shows damage, stop trying.

To recover clothing with retained water, see the door that remains locked. If the message persists after the applicable instruction, request service without forcing the latch or opening panels.

Report what you were trying to do and which of the two texts appears: identify the correct closing or opening path.
