Tangles are investigated by checking long items, cover openings, size mix, and distribution. Do not tie clothing or improvise fasteners to prevent movement.
Figure out how the bundle formed
Check whether small items went through an opening, whether a sheet wrapped around other pieces, or whether several straps became linked together. Distinguish that textile result from a mechanical failure: a bunched load can affect the spin cycle without confirming a failed component.
Preparing covers and long items
In sheets and covers, follow the instructions for closures and placement. Do not tie knots in corners or close openings with pins or objects. Prepare the zippers, cords, and hook-and-loop fasteners on other garments to prevent snags.
Check whether the load includes items whose shapes and sizes the manual allows together. Do not compact a large item to make room for others, and do not wrap it around the agitator.
Undoing a bundle during the cycle
- Use the authorized pause and wait for a normal stop and opening.
- Separate the garments gently, without pulling on a strap or a seam under tension.
- Check the load and distribution limit before restarting the allowed phase.
- If the item is too large or excluded, remove it using the equipment procedure instead of trying again.
When finished, separate the load before drying it to confirm that all pieces completed the care and that no areas remained compacted with product.
If the same tangle happens again, change the preparation or the composition of the identified load, without immobilizing the garments.
