E03 refers to abnormal drainage in Sharp ES-FW70EW, ES-FW85SG, and ES-FW105SG. Check the hose and user filter with a safe drain before thinking about replacing the pump.
Page 32 of the official ES-FW manual identifies E03. The same document describes filter maintenance; do not copy its access steps to any Sharp model.
If the drum still holds water
Stop the machine and inspect the outer path of the hose. A bent, pinched, or incorrectly installed outlet can prevent draining even if the pump can be heard. The connection to the drain must also follow the series instructions.
Before cleaning the filter, disconnect power and let the water cool. Prepare containers and follow the residual draining procedure in the manual; do not unscrew the plug suddenly with the drum full or while the machine is running.
Reinstall the filter correctly before restarting as instructed in the manual. If the water still does not drain or E03 returns, request service. A filter with no debris does not by itself prove that the pump and control are in good condition.
Record whether the cleaning found a blockage and whether the subsequent draining was complete; those results help narrow down the inspection.
