Documented F05 on Indesit indicates a drain obstruction or pump issue. The accessible check focuses on the filter, hose, and household drain.
Door stuck with water inside
The manufacturer documentation describes F05 as both a locked door and water remaining in the drum. Do not treat a door that will not open as a separate fault before checking the drain cycle.
Inspect the drain hose for any crushing and the household outlet for any backflow. If it connects under a sink, note any trap blockage. Installation measurements should be checked against the model manual.
Cleaning without causing an uncontrolled release
When there is a user-accessible filter, switch off and unplug safely, let the water cool, and prepare a container. Drain it gradually using the indicated method before removing the filter; clean the accessible parts and close it properly. See pump filter cleaning.
If you do not have authorized access or the drain still fails, request service. F05 does not confirm that the pump needs to be replaced. Keep the panel layout if you obtained the code through indicator lights, to avoid misreading it.
Do not start another wash while there is still water the appliance cannot drain.
