The AQUA alerts in this index are based on Japanese documentation and compatible equipment. E1/E2, U3/U4, UL, H, and U6 refer to different situations and should not be transferred to Haier or Sanyo.
Identify the architecture and functions
The official AQUA Japanese FAQ distinguishes washer types and machines with drying or bathwater reuse. Check the manual to see which functions your model has before adopting an explanation.
E1 refers to the water supply and E2 to drainage. U3 helps check the spin cycle and U4 here refers to an upper lid detected as open. The height of a hose and the position of the filters depend on the outlet design.
Lock, heat, and bathwater
UL corresponds to child lock on the documented models. H when drying is interrupted may be accompanied by the cooling cycle that keeps the lid locked; it does not mean that any code starting with H is the same state.
U6 affects the circuit that draws bathwater when that feature exists. It does not apply to a machine without that function, and it is not solved by defaulting to the main water supply.
Take a photo of the message and note the stage it appears in. Sharing a corporate group or brand history does not let you use a Haier or Sanyo table to fill in missing codes.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are AQUA codes the same as Haier codes?
They should not be assumed to be the same. This index uses AQUA-specific documentation and does not carry over equivalents based on corporate ownership.
Is UL a fault or child lock?
On documented AQUA models, UL corresponds to child lock. Deactivation must follow the manual; by itself, it does not confirm that the lid is ready to open.
What does U6 mean on a machine that reuses bathwater?
On that function, U6 indicates a problem drawing bathwater. The auxiliary circuit must be distinguished from the normal main water supply.
What information do I need to choose the correct table?
The full model number, load type, and available functions, especially drying and bathwater recovery. Also keep the full message and when it appears.
If the described function does not exist on your AQUA, stop using that interpretation and look for the manual that matches its model number.
