GE H2O Supply Notice: water inlet and temporary lockout

H2O Supply on GE indicates a water inlet or water detection problem. It may trigger draining or a temporary lockout; the behavior depends on whether it is a front load, top load CHI, or UltraFast Combo.

Do not confuse wash water with dispensing

This message includes Supply. The H2O on some top load SmartDispense models refers to a different condition. Check the model and wording before inspecting the wrong circuit.

What to do during protection

On the top load CHI models described by the manufacturer documentation, the controls may temporarily not respond. Cutting power to avoid waiting may start it up again. On documented front load models, the appliance may pump to protect itself against a water level detection issue. Do not force the door open during that process.

  1. Check that water supply is available and that the faucets required by the model installation are open.
  2. Inspect accessible hoses and note whether the fault started after valves were closed or the appliance was moved.
  3. Wait for the routine indicated in the manual and perform the recovery it allows.

UltraFast Combo may show Confirm H2O Supply is ON; its water connections must also follow its manual. Do not apply a universal time or a different GE inlet setup.

If water supply is available and the alert continues, request service. The message does not let you confirm a pressure sensor fault from the outside.

Note whether you hear water entering or only pumping: describe what you observe without opening panels.
